Operational Consultant

Description
To provide operational and administrative support to the consultant team and clients by managing employee benefits administration, claims processes, client interactions, and compliance requirements, ensuring efficient delivery of services and contributing to operational excellence and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- NQF Level 5 qualification (120 credits).
- Qualification in Employee Benefits, Insured Risks Management, Administration, Healthcare, Medical Aid, or related field (preferred).
- BCom Degree or BA Law Degree (preferred).
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or FAIS Accreditation (preferred).
- Experience within Employee Benefits, Consulting, Actuarial, Healthcare, or Medical Aid environments.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in facilities management or related operational support environment (preferred).
- Knowledge of administrative and operational business processes.
- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and coordination skills.
- Accountability and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately while meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and complete all administrative duties and operational requirements within agreed timelines.
- Provide administrative support to consultants in delivering employee benefits and risk benefit services.
- Assist in managing risk benefit claims processes for employer pension and provident funds.
- Support members and employers with benefit claims relating to withdrawal, retrenchment, retirement, disability, and death.
- Liaise with insurers, members, employers, and service providers to obtain and submit required claim documentation.
- Monitor outstanding documentation and ensure compliance with insurer deadlines and requirements.
- Coordinate communication and facilitate effective interactions between clients and the business.
- Attend employer death benefit committee meetings and provide administrative and operational support.
- Assist with the investigation and assessment of dependant information to support death benefit distribution processes.
- Maintain professional knowledge and continuously develop skills.
- Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
